My Journey with a remarkable tree

Author: Ken Finn
Publisher: Eye Books Ltd
Year: 2005
ISBN: 1903070368

Four pages into this book I was doubting I would read much further. Another four pages and I was hooked. Ken Finn starts out seeking mystical spirit trees in Cambodia - and ends on a mission to expose the sytematic destruction of ancient forests for the global timber trade.

This is an inspirational book, travel writing combined with the story of the birth of an activist. It is a book which can hardly fail to have you thinking and asking questions about the timber we use and the furniture we buy.

Although Finn includes figures and statistics from his researchin the book, this is never dry text book reading. It's a book that you will want to keep reading until you have finished - and a book you will want to pass on to friends.
